With the prospect of there not being any meaningful races for our County's fine young athletes in the foreseeable future, and after the success of the CHAC V CAC Junior Challenge info we (CHAC & CAC) thought it would be great to give all our budding athletes the opportunity to compete against one and other. With the aim being to keep them focused, motivated and importantly to give them something to enjoy and remind them that they're part of a team.

The event will be FREE to enter with a no obligation option to pay either £2.50 or £5, with every single penny raised going to Marcus Rashford's FareShare Charity whose mission statement is " To use surplus, fit for consumption, food to feed those who are vulnerable in the UK by supporting front line charitable organisations that tackle the cause and not just the symptoms of food poverty"

We feel that this is the perfect way for the wonderful running community to help with this fantastic cause.

Below are the rules and requirements for the competition:

Open to Age Groups U11, U13, U15 & U17 (as per your current Road/XC age group)

Distance:

U11's 2km with a max of -10mts net elevation, loops are permitted as long as each loop is a minimum of 800mts

U13's 3km with a max of -20mts net elevation, loops are permitted as long as each loop is a minimum of 800mts

U15's 4km with a max of -30mts net elevation, loops are permitted as long as each loop is a minimum of 800mts

U17's 5km with a max of -40mts net elevation, loops are permitted as long as each loop is a minimum of 800mts

Date: Runs should be completed between 00:00 13th & 23:00 20th of February 2021.

Times can be submitted to us between the 13th & no later than 23:59 on 20th February 2021.

Runs should be recorded via Strava/Garmin or any other running app and submitted via the email links below, screenshots or photographs are permitted*. We appreciate that there are age restrictions on some apps, so for this competition using a parents/guardians account for recording purposes is allowed.

There will be individual and team winners for each of the eight races with the first three for each team scoring, plus extra points up for grabs for teams with the most amount of finishers in each given race.

Safety and COVID-19

Current Government COVID-19 guidelines must be adhered to.

The run should be within a reasonable distance from your home.
Make sure the route you select does not endanger you, is free of obstacles and hazards, and is traffic and pedestrian free.
Busy parks, pavements and other areas are not suitable locations to run.
Please consider completing your run at a time of the day when there will be less foot-traffic.
Always give primacy to pedestrians on route and follow government guidance keep a two-metre distance from any passers-by.
If at any point during your run it feels unsafe in the context of proximity to passers-by you should terminate your run immediately.
All Runners must be supervised by a responsible adult.
We reserve the right to cancel the event if the current COVID-19 situation/guidelines changes.
