EA LICENCE No OUT25/087

We very very much look forward to welcoming you to our track on Saturday for this years Miles of Miles festival.
The weather is forecast to be very warm so we urge you to make sure that you take the necessary steps to stay as cool as possible. England Athletics have the following tips for attending an event in warm conditions....

-
Please take a sun hat, sunglasses, and plenty of sunscreen for the whole event.
-
Ensure you bring enough fluids. *There may be water fountains at the venue, check before arrival what provisions will be available onsite. Do not wait until you feel thirsty; drink continually throughout the day.
-
Take a small towel/flannel which can be drenched in water for cooling
-
If you can, take regular breaks from the sun during the day. Coaches and athletes – this should be factored into planning for arrival/warm up.
-
If you are going to spend time spectating or between events, bring a gazebo or tent with you as a place to shade (ensure there is plenty of space around the track you are visiting). Alternatively, an umbrella or parasol can be used.
*There is a drinking water tap at the side of the snack hut where you can refill drinks containers.

We will also have ice creams and cold drinks available to purchase from the snack hut for the duration of the event.

The start lists can be found here. Please note that we cannot make any alterations now so if you or your child can no longer compete YOU DO NOT NEED to contact us.

On Arrival to the Track
We advise that you arrive at the venue a minimum of one hour before your race is scheduled, this will give you plenty of time to register, collect your race numbers and t-shirt if you ordered one and to warm up.
Please also note that our sponsors Comms Express will be giving away hand clappers and inflatable clappers at the registration point. Make sure you grab one as we want you all to make as much noise as possible during each race to encourage the athletes competing.
We will have a photographer who will be capturing images of the event and athletes throughout the day. These will be available for you to download free of charge in high resolution a day or so after.
If you do not wish photos of either yourself our your child to be taken please inform someone on the registration desk when you arrive.

Once the event starts the link below will give you the results soon after each race has finished

Medals for the first, second and third place finishers will be awarded at the finishing line after each individual race. The £50 Amazon voucher will be awarded at the same time to the fastest in each category, in the case where there are two races for a category such as the U11 Boys we will wait until both races have finished in order for us to ascertain who was the fastest in the category.

We will have separate medal ceremonies for the Essex Championship winners which will take place on the podiums situated along the finishing straight.

There will be a DJ to provide entertainment during the event.

Lastly, we want you all to have a great time
