We are delighted to announce that Miles of Miles sponsored by Comms Express is back on Saturday June the 21st and as in the previous two years this event will incorporate the Essex AA 1 Mile track Championships.
We also have a very exciting new addition to the event... we will be introducing 'The Cornell Mile Challenge Cup' this is a Club competition with prize money of £1000 1st place, £500 2nd place & £250 3rd place and the Cornell Cup to keep for a year for the winning Club, not to mention the prestige of being the top all round Miler Club in the UK.

​For your club to be eligible to take part in the Cornell Cup they need to have at least one athlete competing in the U13, U15, U17, U20+ categories in both male and female i.e. a minimum of eight athletes. we will take your clubs highest finishing position in each of the eight categories, add them up and the club with the lowest score wins.... it couldn't be simpler!
If your club wishes to take part in the Cornell Cup enter in the normal way but please just drop us a quick email here to let us know you wish your club to be included.... and you're in.​
Miles of Miles is for age groups *U11 (strictly Yr. 4 and above only) , U13, U15, U17, U20, SEN, 40+ & 50+
* Please note the U11 age category will not be included in the Essex AA Championships.

The Essex Championships are open to U13, U15, U17, U20 SEN, 40+ & 50+
You are eligible to compete in the County Championships if you were born in Essex or have been a resident in Essex for 9 months or longer.​

​Medals & Prizes
A £50 Amazon voucher will be given to the fastest athlete in each age/gender group inc. U11's.
1st, 2nd & 3rd place Miles of Miles medals will be awarded at the every race, and there will be a separate podium ceremony for those coming 1st, 2nd & 3rd in the county championships.
£1000 will be awarded to the winning Club of the Cornell Cup.
£500 will be award to the runner up Club in the Cornell Cup
£250 will be awarded to the 3rd place Club in the Cornell Cup.

Entry price is £10.50 per athlete or £18.50 if you wish to receive a souvenir T-shirt.

We will have an official photographer taking pictures throughout the day and we will send you the link where you can view them and download for free shortly after the event.
Important: If you or your child do not want their image to be published you must let us know in advance of the event.
Our sponsors Comms Express Ltd will be handing out hand clappers to all those that want them, and we want you to make as much noise with them as possible to support the runners and make a great atmosphere.
We will have hot and cold drinks, sweets, snacks and most importantly ice creams available to purchase at the venue.
Car parking is free and there are plenty of spaces allocated near to the entrance for those with disabilities.
